Have you ever wondered why polar bears are not found in deserts and camels are not found in Arctic regions? This is because they are not adapted to survive in such extreme climatic conditions the climate of a place has a deep effect on the living organisms. In order to survive, animals need to adapt to their surroundings. The slow process of natural adjustment of an organism to its environment is generally termed as adaptation. It may include modification in shape, size, external and internal features. The organism that fails to adapt to their changed surroundings will die and eventually become extinct.
